Our new nature hide has now been set up, we have binoculars, bug hunting supplies and a spotting board. The children are loving using it to spy on our nature garden and rabbits. We hope to develop our nature areas further over the summer months. Our nature garden is developing well, this spring we had 5 species of bird nest in or near our garden (blackbirds, sparrows, wrens, jackdaws and wood pigeons) we've had great fun watching the babies grow up. Our butterfly and bee garden regularly attracts lots of different species. A hedgehog moved into our hedgehog house over the summer, hopefully when the nights get a little darker the children may get a chance to see her, and most recently a pair of frogs have moved into our 'wild patch' so we built a mini pond for them in the hopes they may spawn in the spring.
