We started our south american week by spinning our own wool. We used fibre from alpacas and a drop spindle. We had to twist the spindle to make the wool. Next we cut some llama shapes out of card and used our wool to weave them warm jumpers. We enjoyed south american BBQ chicken with Samba rice for our taste of south america, and had lots of fun playing our around the world game and dressing up. Taco night was a big success, we really enjoyed stuffing our tacos and then trying to eat them without dropping our filling. Our little ones enjoyed wrapping their own 'Peruvian Peg Dolls' and then we had a Caribbean kebab night with Jamican Jerk Chicken and tropical fruits.
