This week's blog brought to you by MB Captain Cooks BirthplaceThis is when we visited the captain Cook birth place museum and looked at what happened in Captain Cooks life. We also collected the dates of when some of the exciting things happened in Captain Cooks time . We found some graffiti on a stone and followed his voyages around a huge map of the would on the ground. There were lots of interesting things to see at the museum. After our picnic we had great fun climbing the trees in the park and checking out the ponds. Captain Cook School Room This is were captain Cook went to school when he was eight. We went to see his statue and learnt about what happened at his school. The school is in Great Ayton. In the school room we looked at what they were learning about. We noticed they were writing with quill pens made from feathers and using ink. After we had looked around the school, we went to get ice cream at the famous Suggats ice cream shop. Fun at FiddlesticksGingerbread Play DoughToday we made some lovely smelling gingerbread play Dough and made gingerbread men and cakes decorated with marsh mallows and raisins.
