By Evan Jones & Ben Riddiough The word Diwali means rows of lighted lamps. This is when Hindu's celebrate the return of there God's Rama and Sita. They make lanterns and set off fireworks. During the day the children made pretty lanterns from paper to decorate for the party. They also made very colourful, decorated Hindu elephants. On the evening we drew and coloured complicated rangoli patterns. Finally we tasted four different curries: korma, tikka masala, makhani and Bombay potatoes. We also tried naan bread and poppadums.
We asked some of the little explorers what they thought about the curry tasting: Harry J said, "It was yum." While Harry R thought, "It tasted like chicken pie.". Eleanor said "My favourite was the creamy one, I liked dipping in the bread." It was a fabulous experience.

By Freddie Morrison It was the 5th of November; Neve, Harry, Isobel, Eleanor, Lizzie & Abigail were getting ready for a special party. We decorated firework biscuits with popping candy on to make it taste nice. They exploded in your mouth like fireworks. During the day, the Little Explorers prepared for the party by making some safe sparklers. They stuck some shiny ribbons and glittery stars onto sticks. When they played with them on the evening they glitters and made pretty colours just like real sparklers, but nobody could get hurt. I asked Abigail what she thought about the safe sparklers, she said "It was bright and shiny. I waved it. Abigail made one for Baby Hannah."
We hope we do it all again next year. By Eleanor Hughes by Isobel E Campbell I asked Eleanor what she liked about the Play Factory, she said "We went really fast over the bumps on the slide."
It looked like great fun, I hope that one day I will be able to go too! By Eleanor We have been very busy for Halloween at Little Explorers, we made spooky pumpkin lanterns and spider webs. We had a pumpkin colouring contest, everybody joined in. I won a prize.
